Finding Collaborators

Does my project have to be for a class?
Nope! The Student Collab Hub can be used for personal projects as well! 

Why haven't you posted my project yet?
It typically takes 1-2 business days for listings to be posted. We're offline on weekends or holidays so if you submitted your listing during those times, we're not going to process it.

Can I post a project for a friend who doesn't go to Tisch?
It depends. If you're actively involved in this project, then you can post it. But if you're NOT already part of that person's project and you're just posting it as a favor to them, then the project is not eligible.

I'm currently doing an internship. Can I post a project for my boss?
No. Employers looking to hire Tisch talent should post their opportunities on Tisch College Central. For more info, please contact the Tisch Office of Career Development at tisch.career@nyu.edu.

I'm trying to cast a specific role for my project and I don't think there's anyone at Tisch who would be the right fit. What do I do?
Backstage.com lets current students post casting calls for free if you register with your NYU email. For details, go to https://www.backstage.com/film-school-casting/. 

Is there a database where I can look through Tisch performer headshots?
Yes! Tisch Drama has an actor database. It can be found here. If you are seeking actors who aren't Drama majors, we don't have a headshot database yet but are planning to add one to this site in the future.

Finding Projects

I submitted info to work on a project but no one responded to me! Can you follow up on my behalf?
Due to the volume of projects and number of people using the Student Collab Hub, we are not able to facilitate follow ups. If you haven't received a response, it may be because the person who posted has already found who they were looking for.

Miscellaneous

Why are you limiting the Student Collab Hub to Tisch? Why can't non-Tisch creatives access it?
This resource is run by the Tisch Office of Student Affairs and the Tisch Office of Career Development, and our mission is to serve the Tisch community.  If you are looking to connect with non-Tisch creatives, there are many other public platforms available where you can do that. (Unsure of where to find those? Check out the Arts & Creative Industries Insights section of the TOCD Career Document Library!)
