Please note the following:
Tisch Center GFI January Term 2024 in Abu Dhabi Housing accommodations are anticipated to be in a hotel. The housing cost quoted above includes only the basic room charge, internet and breakfast. Any additional fees or "extras" will be billed and settled/directly by each student.
Housing is based on a six night double-room accommodation price.
Students will not be permitted to arrive early or stay later than their course of study. Students must make their own arrangements outside of the course dates.

Housing: Covers the total cost per person per night. Students can expect that housing will be assigned for doubles (with one other person) where available.
Program Activity Fee: Covers the cost for instructor pre-arranged group meals, group transportation, excursions, and other program activities
GeoBlue Travel Health Insurance: Required travel health insurance for NYU Study Away students.
These expenses are not included in the GFI Bursar bill. Students are responsible for the following expenses on their own:
airfare,
ground transportation to and from the airport,
personal accommodations outside of the program dates,
meals outside of instructor pre-arranged group meals,
personal entertainment,
souvenirs,
optional trip insurance, etc.
The University will issue a 100% refund of the Bursar course tuition and fees, if the GFI course is dropped by the add/drop deadline, or if the program is cancelled by the University for any reason. Refunds are not issued for travel-related expenses, including but not limited to costs for flights, transportation, immigration fees (visa, passport costs, etc.), or housing arranged outside of the GFI program or schedule. It is the student's responsibility to purchase optional trip insurance and to review and understand the terms of the purchased trip insurance in the event of a trip cancellation. Graduate Students:
The Global Diversity Scholarship is available to matriculated SPS graduate students participating in a GFI program and meet the eligibility requirements. Please click here for more information and instructions to apply.
Undergraduate Students:
While there is no Tisch Center or SPS affiliated scholarship for undergraduates, student are encouraged to look into external opportunities, some of which are listed on this page.
