CCL IGNITE (IncreasinG RepresentatioN In RehabilItation and CreaTivE Health Professions Research) is a research pipeline for middle school and high school students. Our goal is to: 1) Increase exposure and acesss to rehabilitation health professions, 2) Create mentorship and novel science education resources drawing on NYU Steinhardt’s state-of-the-art rehabilitation research.
Each topic below is a 90 minute session in our curriculum. We spend about 30 minutes sharing our career path and introducing our profession. Next, we spend 30 minutes delving into our research work and 30 minutes doing a hands-on activity. Our curriculum is asset-based and learner centered, the pace and activities vary by cohort.
