Congratulations on being accepted into the NYUSPS Schack Institute of Real Estate! We look forward to welcoming you to our dynamic and increasingly global community of students, scholars, alumni, and partners in the industry.
Step 1: Activating Your NYU NetID
You will need to wait at least 24 hours from the date of viewing your acceptance message to activate your NetID and follow the steps outlined below.
Included in your acceptance message is your NetID, a unique alphanumeric code that NYU assigns to you (e.g., xyz123). Your NetID is not your University ID number (which is a 9-character ID number starting with a capital N).
You will use your NetID and password to access your NYUHome account, which is a customizable web interface that links you to your NYU email account as well as other systems and tools.
Visit start.nyu.edu and follow the prompts to activate your NYU NetID
Step 2: Send in Official Transcripts
Official transcripts are required to complete your enrollment at NYU as follows:
Final transcripts for all college level courses taken
Final scores sent from College Board, AP/IP Scores
send to admissions.docs@nyu.edu
The Office of Admissions strongly encourages students to submit all official documents electronically. Copies of your transcripts scanned and uploaded by you with your online application are not considered final or official. If your university provides official e-transcripts (eScripts, Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse, etc.), please have it sent to admissions.docs@nyu.edu.
If your university is unable to send official transcripts via email or electronic delivery service, a hard copy can be mailed to the address below.
New York University
Office of Undergraduate Admissions
383 Lafayette Street
New York, NY 10003
Step 3: Meet Your Academic Advisor
To meet with your academic advisor one-on-one, please contact your advisor directly. Your academic advisor can be found on both Albert and NYU Connect. You can also find the contact information of your academic advisor on the Schack Team page.
Step 4: Register for Classes
Click here for instructions on how to register for classes.
New York State law and/or New York University require all newly admitted students to complete several health-related requirements.
Immunization Forms
Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)
Meningococcal Meningitis
For instructions on how to upload your immunization forms, visit the Student Health Center website.
University Health Insurance
Most students are automatically enrolled in and charged a premium for an NYU-sponsored student health insurance plan (NYU-sponsored plan) as part of the course registration process. Students who maintain alternate health insurance coverage that meets the University’s minimum health insurance criteria may waive the NYU-sponsored student health insurance plan entirely.
Enroll in or waive NYU-sponsored Student Health Insurance
Once you have accepted our offer by paying your tuition deposit, NYU will activate your NYU email account in late October for Spring admission and early March for Summer/Fall admission. Most University offices, including Graduate Admissions, Financial Aid, the Bursar, Housing, and Student Affairs, will communicate with you via your NYU email account exclusively, so be sure to check it often.
To access your NYU email account, log into NYUHome then search for the NYU Email card. If you're using a mobile device or desktop application, review our setup instructions.
Your NYU ID Card gives you access to NYU buildings, including the libraries, fitness centers, and computer labs. Getting your NYU student ID, known around campus as your NYU Card, is now easier than ever. Visit the NYU Card website for more information, or watch this video.
Tip: Start the process before coming to campus. Upload a photo today to get your NYU Card.
