This project leverages a long-standing collaboration with the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency and the Child Maltreatment Solutions Network at The Pennsylvania State University to prevent child sexual abuse (CSA) on a wide scale.
We partner with 15 community partners across PA to implement two evidence-based CSA prevention programs:
A 50-minute puppet-based workshop implemented in kindergarten through 3rd grade classrooms.
The evidence-based curriculum teaches children about healthy boundaries, that it is okay to say ‘no,’ and how to get help from safe adults.
Adapted from an evidence-based selective prevention curriculum, this universal program is delivered to parents of children under 13.
The group-based program teaches parents about healthy sexual development, communicating with children about sexual boundaries, ensuring safety, and obtaining help and resources.
