Amy Cordileone (she/her) is a director whose artistic work & research is focused on investigating aesthetic spaces across the globe. As a full-time faculty member at NYU, Cordileone continues to develop innovative content for a variety of Steinhardt programs, including the NYU Youth Theatre Ensemble, Theatrix, Playlabs, & the Writers' Roundtable; additionally, she is Co-Editor for the Teaching Artist Journal (a Taylor & Francis publication). Amy’s passion for new work development led to the curation of the NYU Forum on Developing New Work for the Theatre (2013) & the Forum on Site-Specific Performance (2015). Her directing and choreography credits include: The Winter’s Tale, Peter & the Starcatcher, Comedy of Errors, Noël Coward’s Brief Encounter, Meta (premiere), Here All Dwell Free (premiere), The Heart Cycle (premiere), Underground: An Unauthorized Ben Folds Jam Session (premiere), Two Noble Kinsmen, Alice: Looking Glass Girl, & more. Cordileone holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance from the University of California, at Irvine; she completed both her MA & PhD at NYU.
Jinx Ellwanger (They/Them/Theirs) is a non-binary sophomore majoring in Educational Theatre with a passion for social justice, education, and gender studies. They work as a stage manager on theatre productions as well as volunteer at theatres for a variety of other jobs. Outside of theatre, they enjoy advocating for Disability and LGBTQ rights. They can often be found watching cartoons, writing, or listening to Taylor Swift.
Michelle Eden Humphrey Manages the costume shop for Dept. of Music and Performing Arts Professions, NYU Steinhardt and has been creating costumes for NYU since 2003. Outside of NYU Michelle has been designing costumes for theatrical productions, high profile celebrities, advertising companies’ corporate events and private parties for many years. Daryl Embry is a freelance Production Manager and Scenic/Lighting Designer. He is an alum, adjunct faculty member and resident designer in the Program in Educational Theatre at NYU (Steinhardt). Design and Management highlights include MCC Theatre, American Ballet Theatre, and the annual Shubert Foundation High School Theatre Festival for NYC Public Schools.
Kourtney King (she/her) is a New York City-based performing and teaching artist. Her recent work includes Quenna Lene Barrett's Re-Writing the Declaration on NYU Steinhardt Mainstage. King is currently an Educational Theatre for Colleges and Communities grad student at NYU Steinhardt. Blake McCarty is the co-founder & Director of Artistic Development for Blindspot Collective, a theatre company that cultivates & celebrates new work, emerging artists, & diverse audiences while “helping to change the story one issue & one play at a time” (Times of San Diego, 2020). Blake's original work includes large-scale immersive projects such as Hall Pass (presented most recently by La Jolla Playhouse for the 2019 Without Walls Festival) & Play/Date (produced Off-Broadway by 3-Legged Dog); original musicals such as Chasing Fear (with composer Trevor Bachman); devised theatre including Mystifique (based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe) & Filters (a pop cabaret developed with youth); & documentary plays such as The Magic in this Soul, Biting the Bullet, Hear Me Roar, be·long·ing, & Untold. His work has been developed or commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse, The Old Globe, Cygnet Theatre, New Village Arts, New York Theatre Barn, & NYU. Blake is also an award-winning Projection Designer whose designs have been seen at La Jolla Playhouse, San Diego Repertory Theatre, Moonlight Amphitheatre, Intrepid, Ion, Diversionary, New Village Arts, Cygnet Theatre, Dixon Place, 3‐Legged Dog, Theatre Row, La Mama E.T.C., & MCC Theater. As an educator, Blake has designed educational programming for The New Victory Theater, La Jolla Playhouse, The Old Globe, New York University, New Museum, Guggenheim Museum, Tribeca Film Festival, & countless schools. Blake is an alumnus of Tisch School of the Arts, & the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, & Human Development, both at New York University.
