Students become eligible to apply for doctoral candidacy once they have:
Completed or received approval for all program milestones (excluding the dissertation): the 2nd year paper, empirical research critique, and specialty paper; and
Completed the majority of their coursework, with no more than 6 credits remaining.
Once students meet the above criteria, they should complete the doctoral candidacy form together with their advisor. The advisor then emails the completed form to Nancy Hall, copying the PSI Program Director. Nancy Hall will notify the registrar and send a confirmation letter indicating the student’s candidacy status.
The student should forward this confirmation to the PSI Program Coordinator, Aliyah Ashley (aa10578@nyu.edu).
