SPS Legacy Week is an annual event spearheaded by SPS students comprising of week-long events to boost school spirit.
This year the committee decided to revamp the name and have it pay homage to our school's 90th year anniversary.
The purpose of Legacy Week is to showcase the NYU School of Professional Studies presence on campus and within the NYU community. This year promises to be one of the biggest and most exciting editions of the event.
Legacy Week is meant to connect all SPS students with one another and to celebrate our collective drive for excellence and innovation, community and collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.
Legacy Week celebrates several initiatives and events highlighting what makes us who we are—our history, our programs, our students, and our faculty. During Spirit Week, we bring together all our SPS communities from the SPS Building at Washington Square and the Midtown Center.
During the week, each day is assigned a theme day packed with events; such as Kick-off Day, Club Day , Wellness Day, Throw-back Day, Professional Day.
In November of 2015, the first SPS Spirit Week was launched.
It started with the #WeAreSPS campaign which was launched to celebrate our strengths, talents, and diversity as a School.
#WeAreSPS t-shirts were first distributed at the Fall 2015 New Student Orientation and throughout the semester leading up to Spirit Week.
This tradition continues as we welcome new students to the SPS community. Students are encouraged to wear their SPS t-shirts during Spirit Week.
