Would you like to be part of fueling the fight against breast cancer by cheering on and uplifting cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers? This opportunity is for you! The SPS Community Service Committee will participate in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event on Sunday, October 20, 2024. Our volunteer station will be at the Cheer Station, where we will support and encourage participants as they walk. Let’s bring the energy and motivate everyone involved! The shift time is from 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM.
Suffs is the Tony Award®-winning musical that’s making history on Broadway! Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Score. It’s 1913 and the women’s movement is heating up in America, anchored by the suffragists — “Suffs,” as they call themselves — and their relentless pursuit of the right to vote. Reaching across and against generational, racial, and class divides, these brilliant, flawed women entertain and inspire us with the story of their hard-won victory in an ongoing fight. So much has changed since the passing of the Nineteenth Amendment over a century ago, and yet we’re reminded sometimes we need to look back, in order to march fearlessly into the future. Learn more
