Doctors Without Borders is an independent international organization that offers medical humanitarian assistance to people based solely on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation. Over the past five decades, Doctors Without Borders has grown from a group of a few hundred volunteers to an international movement, providing over 10 million medical consultations in more than 70 countries every year. MSF's core values of humanitarianism, independence, neutrality, and impartiality continue to drive their work in providing life-saving aid to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters.
Every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated! (and it's tax-deductible!) You can donate and learn more about their work by visiting their website

Global Village is a cherished, unique, inclusive annual celebration at SPS where we not only unite as a community but celebrate our beautiful diversity from every corner of the world. We come together for a night to travel, explore, and honor the cultures, music, dance, and foods of our fellow peers who hail from across the country and around the world. #WeareSPS truly embodies our diversity, inclusiveness, and core principle to accept, value, and welcome all.
This very popular school-wide event is organized by the SPS Student Events Committee and sponsored by the Undergraduate and Graduate Student Councils, the Office of Student Life, and other school-wide clubs.
The first SPS Global Village was held on November 16, 2015 at the SPS Building, 7 East 2th Street as part of the SPS's Spirit Week offering booths which provided information, food, freebies, and more from each country and culture represented.
For the last eight years, the joy and excitement of Global Village has infused the SPS community and generated the warmth and dynamism of a true SPS family and the sentiment that created the slogan #WeAreSPS!
