Safe NYU is the University’s free mobile campus safety app, developed by the Department of Campus Safety and its Campus Safety Operations division. The app provides safety and security services, including:
911-calling capability for life-threatening situations
Push Notifications
Mobile Blue Light: simultaneously send your location and call NYU Campus Safety
Reporting of incidents or tips via in-app forms, real-time chats or voice calls
The Safe NYU app goes where you go, offering preparedness tips, transportation information, and emergency numbers at the tap of an icon. The app also includes links to support resources including victim assistance, the wellness exchange, and the bias response line.

If you are planning on traveling away from Los Angeles during the term (even if to San Francisco for a long weekend), please update your travel in NYU Traveler in case there is a need to send you an alert or do a check-in case of an emergency.
