Project Overview
NY Sunworks is a non-profit organization that provides an environmental science education in urban schools through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences in the classroom. The Greenhouse Classroom Lab installs hydroponic systems into classrooms to teach students the importance of plant cultivation and nutrition to resource management and sustainability. In order to reach and captivate a wider network of educators, NY Sunworks would like to make their Greenhouse Classroom Lab teacher's training program more accessible. By appealing to more teachers by easily integrating into existing science curriculums, the Greenhouse Classroom Lab will reach more students who stand to gain the invaluable experiences of participating in authentic science investigations, exploring their own curiosities, learning important scientific concepts, and their role as humans in climate change.
