Animal Assisted Therapy in a Pediatric Setting: A Position Statement

To date, there is no American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) position statement on the use of AAT with dogs in a pediatric setting. A position statement was created for occupational therapy practitioners and those who supervise or reimburse occupational therapy services seeking guidance about the use of this modality in practice.
