The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth is a collectible, mobile RPG I worked on during my time at EA Capital Games. In it, players can gather, train, and fight turn-based battles with characters from The Lord of the Rings series. They can also engage each other socially, either by coordinating in guilds or competing for prestige in the Arena.
For this project I:
Collaborated closely with the creative director, game design lead, and stakeholders to create captivating storylines set in the iconic Lord of the Rings setting while staying within the framework of the license
Wrote character focused dialogue for the Light Campaigns, Shadow Campaigns, and other currently unreleased content
Developed ability names, character descriptions, and character titles for 100+ collectible and non-collectible characters
Created Campaign titles, mission names, and mission descriptions for all Campaigns featured within the game's soft launch, as well as other currently unreleased content
Led development of a text-style guide in order to establish consistent language and syntax use across the game's UI
Maintained spreadsheets in order to track text used throughout the game
Integrated text into our Unity builds using Perforce and an in-house development tool
