About Me

Hello, I'm Alice Shi, currently a senior pursuing a degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Born and raised in the vibrant city of New York, I'm fluent in both English and Chinese, which has enriched my cultural experiences and interactions. My academic journey is fueled by a profound passion for sustainability within the realm of chemical engineering, particularly in devising eco-friendly solutions to address pressing environmental and hydro based challenges. Moreover, my dedication extends to the fundamental cause of providing clean water for all, recognizing the pivotal role it plays in promoting global health and well-being. Additionally, I am deeply committed to enhancing accessibility and mobility for individuals with vision impairment, driven by a desire to foster inclusivity and equal opportunities for all members of society.

Outside the classroom, you'll often find me pursuing various interests and hobbies. On weekends, I prioritize both physical and mental well-being, engaging in weightlifting sessions at the gym to stay active and energized. However, I also cherish moments of tranquility, spending leisurely hours at the park immersed in the pages of a captivating book. At home, I find solace in the company of my beloved cats, relishing in their affectionate companionship as we unwind together. These moments of relaxation and self-care provide balance amidst the rigors of academic life, allowing me to recharge and approach each day with renewed enthusiasm and vigor.
