Who are the users in multilingual digital humanities? How do DH practitioners use the different languages they know?  How do infrastructures impact how we do multilingual DH? What should their role be? 

Our half-day pre-conference workshop at DH2023 focuses on building user personas of multilingual DH practitioners.

Our workshop has four main goals: 

• Practicing the methodology of UX persona creation for the DH community;

• Co-writing a set of best practices for mapping multilinguality in local communities;

• Providing a venue for globally separated communities to know each other better and to learn from each other;

• community co-writing an article or white paper on the multilingual users in DH.
