2024–2025 English Study Tour to Singapore
An Unforgettable Cultural and Language Learning Experience
From 26th to 29th June 2025, 24 students took part in a four-day English Study Tour to Singapore. The programme aimed to help students use English in authentic situations, explore local culture, and engage in meaningful learning outside the classroom.
Upon arrival in Singapore, students were greeted by the clean and modern environment of Changi Airport. Their first stop was Jewel Changi, a stunning complex that features the world’s tallest indoor waterfall surrounded by lush gardens. The day continued with a scenic river cruise, offering views of both historic buildings and modern skyscrapers along the Singapore River. Visits to Merlion Park and Gardens by the Bay gave students a deeper understanding of how the city blends natural beauty with urban development.
The second day was all about fun and exploration at Universal Studios Singapore. Students enjoyed themed zones and exciting rides, which sparked conversations about how entertainment can be creative and educational. That evening, they had the chance to taste local dishes such as satay and chicken rice at the well-known Lau Pa Sat food centre. This gave them a closer look at Singapore’s diverse food culture and lively street atmosphere.
One of the most meaningful experiences came on the third day, when students visited the National University of Singapore. During the exchange activity, they interacted with local university students and learned about student life in a different system. Later, they explored the Singapore City Gallery and discovered how careful planning has helped shape the city. The day ended with a visit to the Night Safari, where students observed nocturnal animals in a unique natural setting.
Throughout the tour, students kept daily journals to reflect on their learning and personal growth. Many shared that the experience boosted their confidence in speaking English and opened their eyes to different ways of life.
This study tour to Singapore was more than just a trip — it was a valuable journey of learning, connection, and discovery. Students returned with new insights, stronger communication skills, and lasting memories. We look forward to offering more experiences like this in the future.
