Youth Restorative Justice

The Youth Restorative Justice (YRJ) Program is a collaboration of NYC high school students and adult facilitators, who are in partnership with YRJ and the Department of Education. YRJ’s mission is to train youth as Restorative Justice practitioners and share RJ best practices to implement in our schools. I was a member of this program during 11th-12th grade.

Student Council

I participated in my schools student government from 10th-12th grade. I was apart of the election committee and I was a student leader of the mental health committee.

Best Friends Animal Society

Best Friends Animal Society is a nationwide animal rescue dedicated to saving cats and dogs and promoting a no-kill practice. I have the role of being a hospitality docent and virtually assisting potential pet adopters or foster parents.

Bring Change 2 Mind

During 11th-12th grade I worked with other student leaders and staff to lead a mental health club, called Bring Change 2 Mind, to end the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health. I was the communications point person and sent out bi-weekly emails to students apart of the club.

Restorative Justice Circles

At school, I worked with other students and staff to host and participate in restorative justice circles where we get to know each other, engage in fun games/activities, and discuss how we are able to make our school a safer and better place for everyone.
