NYFA Fiscal Sponsorship has two tracks. The track you choose determines how your contract is structured and how income flows through your account.
Who it's for: individual artists, unincorporated groups, LLCs, and corporations.
What it supports: a specific creative project with a defined start and end.
Contributed income (grants, donations): flows through NYFA.
Earned income (tickets, fees, merchandise): handled by you, outside NYFA.
Who it's for: organizations incorporated as a nonprofit at the state level that do not yet have 501(c)(3) status.
What it supports: your organization's ongoing programming.
Contributed income (grants, donations): flows through NYFA.
Earned income (tickets, fees, merchandise): also flows through NYFA.
If you are NOT incorporated as a nonprofit at the state level, please select Artist Project.
If you are incorporated as a nonprofit at the state level, you can apply as an Emerging Organization. Please switch to the Emerging Organization Guide.
Non-incorporated options: Individual or unincorporated group: sole proprietors, individual artists, and informal groups.
Incorporated options: LLC or corporation: LLCs, S-corporations, and C-corporations.
