This project is about imagining our solar system(including stars) as humans while also learning about them with a twist of added fun facts. I worked on this in the sims and like us these planets/stars have personality, goals in life, and their own style of fashion. I hope you have fun getting to know them like I did!
The intent of this Site is to explore the debate between "Climate Scientists" and so-called "Science Deniers." Or are they? I would like to create this space as a proper introduction and spotlight to the not so radical minority side to the climate change debate. The people who are at large called "Science deniers" or "Climate Change Skeptics" and who are deemed as radicals and antagonists to humanity's survival to this so-called "impending cataclysmic catastrophe." Those who have their reputations destroyed by such false allegations, and this Site is here to shed light and weigh both sides as properly and fairly as possible, as the media, big tech, and politicians fail to do.
This is a script I wrote, taking place in a realm called Nykia, in a world called Aephosia. The story follows Raeli, a senior in high school. She gets transported into Nykia, and shortly after she meets Prisk, Zaviesque, Klisruna, Ai-phori and Ni-serk. Shortly after that Zambresque is introduced. Soon we meet Valuka, then Hovalórok and finally Eavrok. The point of the story was to earn credit not only for creative writing, but also social skills from what I’ve learned lately. It still is a work in progress (as is any creative endeavor, I believe) but I have big ambitions for this project. I plan on making this into a full-fledged fandom (most likely a series), along with lore, maps, etc. I hope you enjoy the story!
This project looks at the British Empire at its peak and the influence they had around the world.
In this project, I researched U.S. immigration and learned about how immigration policies have changed within the last 10 years and what immigrants go through to get to the U.S. For my final product, I wanted to express what I learned about through two strong images of silhouetted immigrants.
The first image shows immigrants arriving at the U.S. border leaving behind the dangers of their country in hopes for a better life, but they are stopped by a border patrol agent who will not allow them through. The other image shows what can often happen after being denied access through the border, which is family separation. A border patrol agent takes away a child from their mother and is about to haul them off to a detention center. This is where they will wait for their parents to go to court or straight to jail if they don’t have the right documents.
I created these two images with photoshop by taking photos of my family and turning them into silhouettes. For the backgrounds, I used photos of the sky that I took and we painted over them to get the effect that I was looking for.
Throughout this project, I learned a lot about why immigrants travel to the U.S., what changes our former presidents made to immigration policies, the immigration process, and so much more. My hope is that these images that I have created give people a new perspective on immigration.
What was the draft? How did it work? This website explains the US government's use of the draft in wars going back to the US Civil War in the 1860s.
