The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is a prestigious organization that recognizes outstanding middle-level students. It is more than just an honor roll; it is a program that celebrates students who have demonstrated excellence in five key areas: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.
Chapters of the NJHS are found in middle schools across the country and around the world. These chapters provide opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills, engage in community service, and uphold the highest standards of academic achievement and personal conduct.
Membership in the NJHS is an honor bestowed upon deserving students by the faculty of their school. A student must meet the chapter's specific scholarship requirements, and then they are evaluated based on their performance in the remaining four criteria. Once inducted, members are expected to maintain their high standards and participate in chapter activities, which often include service projects and leadership initiatives.
Being a member of the National Junior Honor Society is a significant accomplishment that highlights a student's dedication to academic success and commitment to making a positive impact on their school and community.
