STEP 2: Food Service personnel will move your application forward for HR to review
The Food Service personnel department will move the applications forward for HR to review IF AND ONLY IF the student has uploaded the required document (2023-2024 Student Agreement form).
STEP 3: Interview with Ms. Matty
Go to the WHS Cafeteria and speak with Ms. Matty, our Cafeteria Manager.
Students will not be scheduled into Cafeteria without Ms. Matty's approval.
Ms. Matty will let the counselor, Ms. Nichols, know if you have been approved to work in our Cafeteria.
STEP 4: Bring your SIGNED Student Food Service Worker Agreement to Mrs. Nichols in the 300's office to sign.
If you need an extra copy, she has some in her office.

STEP 5: HR will send the offer letter to the student
Once HR has been notified that the student has uploaded all the required documents, HR will then send the offer letter to the student’s CCSD email. Please remind the students to check their inbox or spam folder.
The student has (30) days to accept or decline the offer.
If the student fails to accept the offer by the deadline, students will need to notify FS personnel at (fs-personnel-user@nv.ccsd.net) that they missed the deadline so the offer letter can be re-sent.
For returning students - An offer letter will be sent by HR and will still need to be accepted by the student for the appropriate school year.
STEP 6: HR will send the I-9 task that MUST be completed online (if the student is applying for the first time)
When the student accepts the offer, HR will send the I-9 task to the student’s CCSD email that will need to be completed online. Please remind the students to check their inbox or spam folder.
Students MUST use a desktop computer NOT a cell phone to complete the I-9 task. (Cell phones are not always compatible with the system and they don't display the entire I-9 form. When using a cell phone students don't see the sign and submit option on the bottom of the page. It is imperative that they use a desktop computer to submit the I-9 form).
For returning students - The I-9 task will not need to be completed. Employment has been established and HR will just need to request that the student’s information be activated in HCM for the current school year.

STEP 7: HR will schedule the virtual I-9 verification with the student (if the student is applying for the first time)
What is I-9 verification? It is part of the application process where the Human Resources Department will verify the identity and work authorization of the student.
After the I-9 form has been completed online, HR will schedule the virtual I-9 verification with the student.
It is done through Google Meet and the student will need a working camera for document verification.
For returning students - The virtual I-9 verification will not need to be completed. Employment has been established and HR will just need to request that the student’s information be activated in HCM for the current school year.
STEP 8: HR will inform MS. Nichols once all steps have been completed.
Ms. Nichols will add Cafeteria Worker will be added to your schedule.

REQUIREMENTS TO UPLOAD IN APPLICATION:
There is only (1) document to be uploaded at the time of application.
Below specifications are the ONLY accepted ones:
2023-2024 Student Agreement form
Student can obtain Student Agreement form from their HS Counselor or HS Cafeteria Manager
HS Counselors or HS Cafeteria Managers may hand out printed copies to students as well
CCSD logo MUST be on the Student Agreement form
Parent/guardian signature MUST be handwritten on the Student Agreement form
Student Agreement form does not require parent’s signature for students 18 years or older
Student Agreement form MUST be signed by HS Counselor or HS Administrator
It is MANDATORY for students to use their CCSD email address when applying for the position or their application may be rejected.

Ms. Matty Ellis is Western's Cafeteria Manager. All new applicants MUST meet with or interview with Ms. Matty prior to having Cafeteria Worker being placed into his or her schedule. Ms. Matty will inform Ms. Nichols once the student has been approved.

Dress Code Policy – NO EXCEPTIONS
No jewelry – No earrings, watches, necklaces, bracelets of any kind can be worn in the kitchen. No hoodies or jackets can be worn in the kitchen unless you are working in the refrigerator or freezer. No backpacks can be worn in the kitchen. There is shelving for you to store personal items while working.
Closed toed shoes are required at all times. They must be flat and non-skid. You are welcome to leave a pair in the designated area.
No cellphones. All cell phones must be stored in your backpack during your shift.
No nail polish or acrylic nails of any kind. Nails should be short and clean.
No earbuds or headphones.
Hairnets, beard guards, aprons and handwashing are required. You must follow all health department regulations.
This position is only available to students approved by their counselor(s) to work in the cafeteria for the 2022-2023 school year and all student food service workers are subject to schedule changes.
Counselors and school administrators have the final discretion to assign and approve cafeteria workers to best meet the needs of the school.

Helpful Reminders
A parent or guardian must sign the student agreement for students under 18 years of age.
The student must initial any changes/errors.
Students will accept the offers electronically through Taleo.
Once an offer is accepted, students will receive an email to complete Section I of the I-9 form electronically (if needed).
In order for the student to be approved, he or she MUST meet with Ms. Matty prior to having Cafeteria Worker being put into his or her schedule.
HOW TO SET UP DIRECT DEPOSIT
1. Go to https://myaccount.ccsd.net/#/ > click Claim your account
2. Click on Staff/ Teachers/ Contractors (Students at this point are now staff members)
3. On this page - Complete steps 1 through 4
4. Once a username and password is generated. Students will go to https://hcm.ccsd.net/
5. Log in with their username and password
6. Go to the Payroll Tile
7. Click Direct Deposit on the left hand side
8. Click the + to add their account information.
