Excitement is building as five of our SWTechCGC teams have clinched their spots in the upcoming playoffs, demonstrating skill, determination, and teamwork throughout the season. Our #1 ranked Splatoon team, Southwest Starcross, continues their undefeated journey, while the Southwest Schploiit and Southwest Smashers are gearing up to leverage their impressive records for strong playoff performances. Not to be outdone, the SWTech Biggie Noodlez and our formidable Mario Kart squad, the Southwest Thundershocks, are also playoff-bound, ready to compete against the top teams from across the region. As we enter this high-stakes phase, our teams are prepared to showcase their talents and strive for victory in the intense single-elimination rounds. Support and cheer for our teams as they battle it out for the championship titles in their respective leagues!
Playoff matches are single elimination and have up to 64 teams competing.
Our Southwest Tech eSports teams kicked off the season with impressive performances across the board, boasting a combinded record of 7 wins and 1 loss. Here's a quick rundown of the week's highlights:
SW Schploiit - Triumphed over VALE Alpha with a clean 3-0 sweep.
SW Flyfish - Outplayed Pathfinder Splat, Securing a 3-0 victory.
SW Starcross - showed their prowess against Valor Eagles 3-0, continuing their undefeated streak
SW Snakebite demonstrated strategic brillance, defeating PHS Valorant for another 2-0 win
The SW Smashers faced a tough battle and fell to Horizon Smash B
The SW Prank Kids turned the tables with a 3-1 win against Marietta Strikers, bouncing back impressively.
Biggie Noodlez dominated Northridge JV with a commanding 3-0 win.
Despite being a player short, Thundershocks showcased skill and tenacity, winning 2-0 against the Pathfinders.

Great news for all esports enthusiasts at Southwest Career & Technical Academy! We've received an exclusive invitation to participate in a thrilling community event, hosted by PlayVS in partnership with the NFL during the Super Bowl week.
Set to take place on Monday, February 5, at the renowned HyperX Arena, this event promises an afternoon filled with excitement, featuring Madden games, free-play sessions, guest speakers, and a host of other engaging activities. It's a fantastic opportunity for our students to immerse themselves in the world of esports, connect with fellow gamers, and experience the thrill of competitive play in a professional arena.
