Understanding your PSAT Score Report
PSAT is given in October of each school year to all sophomores at no cost and juniors that want to take it. There is a fee for juniors to take the PSAT.
The Preliminary SAT (PSAT) is mostly a practice version of the SAT®, but it can also lead to more money for college. The PSAT during Junior year , is the NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test), and you will automatically be entered into the National Merit Scholarship Corporation’s (NMSC) scholarship and recognition programs. You will also gain access to a personalized study plan that is based on your PSAT performance.
