G.O.A.T Comeback

Maeganne Cabias

Five years ago, July 23rd, news spread like wildfire that one of our own was in a serious car accident.  Maeganne Cabias, #6, had been ejected from the back of her vehicle, landed on her head, and was not expected to awake from the coma she was in. Maeganne, a four year player at Vista, had graduated but wanted to continue to be involved in the volleyball program.  She volunteered to remain with both the boy's and girl's programs over the next two years as a Graduate Assistant.  She was going to school and preparing to be a nurse. That summer, everything had changed. Doctors were not optimistic and insurance companies were even worse. However, with the unbelievable and unwavering support and strength of her family, Maeganne, with her sheer determination and will, has made an amazing recovery!   Maeganne is  dedicated to her workouts with her dad using HASFit and MADFit.  We are so proud of her and truly inspired.  She and her family are a reminder of what love can do.  In the face of adversity we don’t give up. When one of us is down, we can carry the load, and where there is a will, there is a way!  Maeganne is knocking down obstacles and paving new roads!  She has a heart of a Lion!
