SVHS Coaching Staff
Camille McComas has coached club and high school teams over the past 30 years. Coach McComas hails from Southern California where as a freshman she fell in love with volleyball. Playing everyday with her dad, it was easy to see the next level of competition was the goal. Upon graduation, McComas received a scholarship to California State University Bakersfield (CSUB) where she played for the current University of Arizona Wildcats coach, Dave Rubio. At CSUB, McComas was named to the National Team and won a DII National Championship. Post graduation, she pursued a Masters in Educational Technology, a Blended Ed endorsement, and opened Sierra Vista High School in 2001. Coach McComas has been Head coach of both the Men and Women's Programs up to 2021 when she handed the Boys program to coach Ray Maika, and led the Women's team to a playoff berth every season, a Division Championship, two-time State Runner-Up, and the schools First State Championship in 2004.
Coach Keller grew up here in Las Vegas and picked up volleyball shortly after graduating from Valley High. He has been coaching club volleyball since 2013 with BBC Las Vegas Volleyball and came to Sierra Vista High School in 2015 to coach the JV team and assist with the program as a whole under Coach McComas. His motivation comes from helping players increase their skill level in volleyball and become great people through the pursuit of sport. Coach Keller attends training seminars across the country each year to swap ideas with the top coaches in the country to grow the sport of volleyball. His passion comes from the rewards of watching players grow in the sport and as a person. His even-tempered honest approach to coaching provides a good atmosphere for player development. A Fan of many sports, some of his favorite teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vegas Golden Knights (when they aren’t playing the Penguins), Penn State Volleyball, and Stanford Volleyball.

Coach Ray Maika was born and raised in Honolulu, HI. He coached numerous community league and unit level teams while serving overseas in Hanau & Schweinfurt, Germany. During his time in Colorado, Coach Maika served as the Head Coach for the freshman team and Assistant Coach for the JV and Varsity at Fountain-Fort Carson High School. After his stint in Fountain, he took over the Women's volleyball program at Ellicott High School. His club experience includes coaching 14U-18U teams as an Assistant & Head Coach, and served as a Club Director. Coach Maika's love for the game comes from his wife and daughters. He enjoys the competition while mentoring our youth through the sport of volleyball and just giving back to our school and community.
Nick Hevrin

Coach Hevrin grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. He played volleyball all four years at Green Valley High School and played club for Vegas Volleyball. He graduated and went to Northern Arizona University, where he continued playing for their club team. He has coached multiple recreation teams and coached Men’s Varsity and Junior Varsity at Cristo Rey St. Viator College Preparatory High School, where he led them to their first ever trophy win for the school. His love for volleyball helps him coach with enthusiasm and passion.
