Some of our goals that should be met by the end of the year:

1. I can read and use the weekly high-frequency and phonics words in writing. We are working with 10 words a week from Dr. Fry's High Frequency Word List. We will be going through the 500.

2. I can read at least 148 words per minute.

3. I can answer questions about what I am reading with a sentence.

4. I can write a narrative, opinion, or informative paper with an opening,  three or more clear details, and a closing.

5. I can count within 1,000 and skip by 2's, 5's, 10's, and 100's.

6. I know how to add and subtract within 20 quickly.

7. I can add and subtract numbers up to 20 and explain how I did it.

8. I can tell time on an analog clock within 5 minutes.

9. I can count money bills and coins.
