The Clark County School District (CCSD) uses the Finalsite (ParentLink) communication system to send text message (SMS) notifications to parents/guardians. The system is used to share important information with families, including routine updates and urgent safety notifications, such as lockdown alerts or other emergency situations.
Starting Monday, April 20, 2026, CCSD will transition from a 5-digit short code to a 10-digit phone number format, which is the current industry standard for application-based text messaging.
The existing short code will be replaced by three CCSD-assigned numbers:
(702) 710-2113
(702) 710-2114
(702) 710-2115
The system will automatically rotate between these three numbers to manage high message volumes and ensure redundancy.
Add Contact: Families should be encouraged to save all three new numbers in their contacts to ensure emergency alerts are recognized and not ignored.
No User Interface Change: There is no change to the user interface or message-sending process for schools or CCSD staff.
Abbreviated Name: Emergency messages will now include the school’s abbreviated name in the message body, similar to non-emergency messages.
Opt-Outs: Consistent with safety standards, emergency messages will not include an opt-out prompt.
Blocking: If a parent/guardian blocks one of these numbers directly on their device, CCSD cannot override that block.
If you need assistance with doctor’s notes please scan the QR code and Hazel Health can assist you with an appointment for both physical and mental health support.

The Clark County School District (CCSD) recognizes the importance of mental health in every child’s development, well-being, and educational outcomes. Utilizing ESSER III (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief) funding, the District is working with the Cook Center for Human Connection to provide families with free access to resources focusing on mental health challenges through ParentGuidance.org.
This new resource includes video courses on demand covering difficult parenting topics. It also offers individualized coaching for any parent/guardian in CCSD and weekly interactive webinars. Topics range from dealing with your child’s anxiety, emotional regulation, experiences with bullying, protecting your child on social media and what parents/guardians need to know about suicide prevention. Schools and families play a crucial role in supporting our children’s mental health. Working together can help ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach their greatest potential.
