Testing Information

SAT

The SAT is a multiple choice college entrance exam administered by The College Board. The purpose of the SAT is to measure a student's readiness for college. The SAT is not required for high school graduation in the state of Nevada; however, you should check with your colleges of interest to see if it is required or recommended for admission or financial aid. Most students take the SAT for the first time in the spring of their junior year of high school.

When you take the PSAT as a Junior, you will automatically be entered into the National Merit Scholarship Corporation’s scholarship and recognition programs. You will also gain access to a personalized study plan that is based on your PSAT performance. The PSAT is administered in the fall and is open to Sophomores and Juniors.
