This scholarship is open to students of any education level, state, field of study, or GPA. The scholarship will be awarded to the student whose profile is most earnest, determined, and moving. This scholarship is open to vegetarian and vegan students graduating from high school in the spring. Students need to write an essay addressing different points on vegetarianism, including how you promoted vegetarianism in your high school and/or community and why it is important to you. Elmira College Scholars Program
The Elmira College Scholars Program awards five full-tuition scholarships per year to first-year, full-time students.
When reviewing applicants for the Elmira College Scholars Program, the committee conducts a thorough and comprehensive review of an applicant’s complete file. The committee reviews high school transcripts, academic profiles, letters of recommendation, personal statements, and a 500-750 word scholarship essay based on a prompt.
Applicants need to have a 3.7 unweighted academic GPA.
Current high school students interested in applying should complete the Application for Admission as well as the Elmira Scholars Application through the EC Online Portal. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on December 31.

John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest.
This scholarship is open to United States high school students in grades nine through twelve attending public, private, parochial, or home schools; U.S. students under the age of twenty enrolled in a high school correspondence/GED program in any of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, or the U.S. territories; and U.S. citizens attending schools overseas. Essays must describe an act of political courage by a U.S. elected official who served during or after 1917, the year John F. Kennedy was born. Science Ambassador Scholarship.
This scholarship is for female high school seniors and undergraduate students pursuing STEM careers. Funded by Cards Against Humanity, this is a full tuition scholarship. Create a video that is 3 minutes in length or less about any STEM topic and upload it to YouTube. The purpose of the application is to teach others something in a short amount of time. The Coolidge Scholarship - Juniors!
The Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, four-year, merit scholarship that recipients may use for undergraduate study at any accredited college or university in the United States. Any high school junior who plans to enroll in college in the fall of 2027 and is an American citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply (current high school seniors are not eligible to apply). Winners may use the scholarship to pursue any academic major.
