Rule #1 - Have Ambition - Never settle for less than your absolute best. Challengers will: • always seek out ways that they can improve. • show pride in their work and their actions.
Rule #2 - Have Integrity - Always be honest Challengers will: • never steal, cheat, or deceive. • understand that respect is earned when you tell the truth.
Rule #3 – Be Optimistic – Always be positive Challengers will: • be confident that the future will have a positive outcome • understand that a positive attitude brings success.
Rule #4 – Citizenship – be an active part of the of the team Challengers will: • understand we are not just a “school” we are a team. • always help those in need. • show support for others; raise people up and not bring them down.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Rule #5 – Have Resilience – Never give up Challengers will: • accept when mistakes are made, learn from them, and move on. • recognize when wrong has been done and use it as a life lesson.
Rule #6 – Have Perseverance – Keep trying even though it may be difficult Challengers will: • turn in ALL assignments on time. • ask for help when needed.
Rule #7 – Be Disciplined – Be organized and neat. Challengers will: • finish what they start. • fill out their agenda daily. • be prepared for ALL classes.
Rule #8 – Be Empathetic – “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Challengers will: • notify an adult if anyone is being mistreated. • show compassion.
Rule #9 – Have Leadership – Take ownership Challengers will: • make positive choices. • take pride in themselves and their actions. • be leaders not followers.
RESPECTFUL:
Rule #10 – Be Conscientious – Think before you act Challengers will: • address adults and peers in a respectful manner. • be aware of their body language.
Rule #11 – Recognition – Respect others comments, opinions, and ideas Challengers will: • pay attention to the speaker, listen with a purpose, and respond when appropriate. • respect others’ opinions even if they are different from your own.
Rule #12 – Congeniality – Be courteous to ALL guests on campus Challengers will: • follow ALL classroom rules when a substitute is in the classroom. • be attentive listeners and interact with guests, speakers appropriately.
Rule #13 – Have Etiquette – Always use good manners Challengers will: • use “Please,” “Thank you,” “May I,” and “You are welcome,” when appropriate. • demonstrate patience. • use Mr., Mrs., or Ms., when addressing any adult.
Students may not have any food or beverages in class. Water only.
Absolutely NO GUM ever.
No Cell Phones out in class unless otherwise instructed by the teacher.
Students must come to class prepared with materials needed for the day.
Students must phrase all criticism in a constructive and positive manner.
Students will be allowed 3 restroom passes per quarter (unless there is an emergency or documented medical need). Students may obtain additional passes utilizing their R-Bucks.
Students are encouraged to dress comfortably for movement in order to participate fully in class.
Students should refrain from talking and socializing while instruction is being given.
Theatre is a self motivating class. Students must make every effort to remain on task.
