This was by far my best piece of Semester 1. It is a self-portrait made completely in Adobe Illustrator. I was supposed to take my picture and then find a place to put my picture in front of and then trace both the face and background. I had difficulty deciding between the graffiti background and the mountainous overlook background but in the end, I chose the graffiti background.
This was the first project that we had to do a photo-realistic trace. It was a lot of fun and the detail was difficult to nail. I did my best on this project and was very proud of the result. Compared to the original photo, I am pretty certain that this is a really good copy. The hardest part was the shading gradient underneath the beak and on the tail.
This is a dispersion affect that I created in Photoshop using masks and filters. I also tried to desaturate the background to make the subject pop. This didn't work because of how dull the subject was. "Mrs. Aslin, I don't feel so good".
This was the semester 2 exam. We had to design a shirt for next year and this is what I came up with. I know it isn't my best work but I like it because it shows all of the different digital media programs (photo, animation, graphic design, and video).
This was the frame project that we created in Photoshop. Using masks and filter, I was able to create a cool, almost futuristic design and throw in my favorite photo in the background.
