These classes split a school year. For the first semester, I had Freshmen Studies, with Mr. Broome as the teacher and for the second semester, I had Health with Mr. Gearin as the teacher. In Freshmen Studies, we did two major projects. We did the "About West" project and the "College" project. In the "About West" project, we had to do a lot of research on WCTA and make a cool presentation. For the "College" project, we had to research a college and write a paper about it. I haven't started Health yet but later this year, this page should be completely filled.
This was my about west project. In the first quarter, we did a huge research project. I was told to find clubs, counselors, a map, and many other things to make a detailed video about West Tech. We would then compile it into a video and add my voice to make it a nice video.
This is little something we made called a Dreamboard. It is basically your bucket list with a few extra things. On the left it shows things you want to do, things you want to experience in your life. In the middle, it shows way you need to grow to make this happen. In the far left column, it shows how I could affect those areas for the better, basically my contributions to that area. I am supposed to do this throughout all of my life.

This was my college project. Recently, we have been doing a huge college project. You would research costs, scholarships, history, and a bunch of other facts about the school. We would then compile it into a video and add my voice to make it a nice video.
These screenshots are from an app called MyFitnessPal. This app calculates all of the things that you eat, and puts them into easy to understand graphs (as seen above). It also tells you what you need to work on. For me, I needed to eat more protein. The one thing I got too much of was carbohydrates. To have a normal, semi-healthy, diet, I should eat 40% Carbs, 30% Fat, and 30% protein. For me, on average, I ate around 45% Carbs, 43% Fats, and 12% Protein.
This was our first major assignment in Health. It was the Chapter 1 Essay. It was meant to show Mr. Gearin, the Health teacher, what we had learned so far in his class. By the time that this was made, I had learned abbout many things. The two things that I had mainly talked about were the different types of health (mental, physical, and social) and the DECIDE process. They were both interesting and I feel like they are important to the way people look at each other and the way that the world is today.
