Composition

This photo displays a line off in the horizon, the utilization of the rule of thirds, and presents a leading line. The mountains in the background provides evidence that the photo is horizontal and not crooked. Thus creating a line off in the horizon. This photo also produces the rule of thirds as the sky accumulates for one-third of the photo and everything else covers the other two-thirds. The catwalk displayed in the bottom one-third of the photo presents a leading line to the audience. Your eyes will follow the catwalk from the center to the left of the photo towards the obstruction in the walkway. A sense of serenity also develops as the balance of colors soothes the eye. The clouds are perfectly parallel to the mountains and other structures within the photo. The variety of shapes presented by the catwalk also makes it so the photo doesn't have any dull points.

This photo demonstrates two focal points: an orange cone and a student. As the green grass engulfs the two points, the bright and vibrant colors of the two really express their positions. The luscious green grass really brings out the aesthetics of the photo as it is full of minuscule patterns and colors. This photo would not have looked as good if all of the grass was dehydrated; the focal points wouldn't be as clear either. The towering fence in the background really breaks the simplicity and barren grass field as it introduces a new shape into the picture. The fence not only brings in a new color but it also brings in a hollow pattern where structures on the other side can be seen as well.

This photo exhibits a leading line effect. As your eyes start from the student it'll slowly travel along the pathing on the floor towards the tinted door. The shading from the tree darkens one side of the photo and leaves the other side untouched. The loud light protruding from the sun really creates a focus on the door in the background as it alters its original hue. The darkness of the tree and radiant sunlight creates somewhat of a yin and yang effect as one side is darker than the other. The tree in the center of the photo splits the two colors apart and introduces a whole new color as it makes an expansion to the color palette. The position the student is sitting in and the direction he is facing truly captivates his facial expression and his thoughts as he could be pondering about anything.
