Welcome Letter
from Ms. MacDuffee!
The Clark County School District provides the necessary supplies for all students in order to meet their educational needs. However, we know that sometimes parents choose to buy school supplies for their child. Should you decide to do this, the preceding items would be appropriate for your child’s grade level.

AM - DROP OFF
Breakfast Time: 8:30 a.m.
Students eating breakfast may enter the school through the west entry, by the multipurpose room. We encourage these students to arrive at 8:30 so they have plenty of time to eat before instruction begins.
If your child arrives before 8:30 a.m. you must be present to supervise them, as we do not have supervision before 8:30 a.m..
Bus students, and others who enter campus after 8:30, will still be given the opportunity to eat breakfast at school.
All Kindergarten students will eat breakfast with their Teacher at 9:00 a.m.
Students in grades K-5 will be able to play between 8:40 and 8:55 a.m.
Please note: we are a closed campus for safety reasons. Parents need to say goodbye at the car, gate, or multipurpose room door.
After 9:00 a.m., our single point of entry is the front office.
Gate Arrival Time: 8:40 a.m.
Students must not be dropped off at the gates prior to 8:40 a.m., as there will be no supervision until that time.
All students are assigned, by grade, a specific gate to enter. Please see the gate assignments pictured below.
The Bus Lane is not open to traffic so please plan on using Gowan, Quadrel, and Delhi only.
Pre-K and Kindergarten students and their siblings may utilize the front Kiss'N'Go loop with their Dash Pass. (These will be handed out at Meet and Greet and on the first day of school.) There will be no parking in the Kiss 'n Go.
AM Pre-K families and students in specialized programs (KIDS, Autism, LIF, and FLS) will drop their students off on the side of the building so they can begin breakfast in the lunchroom. If the parking lot is closed off, your dash pass will be your pass to drive through the front parking lot. Please show it to the staff member and they will let you through.
Teachers will pick up their students from the playground at 8:55 a.m.
Morning Bell: 8:55 a.m.
At this time, students will enter the school with their teacher for morning announcements.
Late Arrivals (AFTER Gates are closed.)
Please have your child enter through the main office into the school and go directly to their classroom.
PM – PICK UP
Dismissal Bell: 3:11 p.m.
Students will exit out their assigned gate. If students are being picked up together, they may exit out of the youngest sibling's gate. Please tell your child to meet their youngest sibling at their gate and communicate this information to the teacher through Class Dojo.
Be kind to one another, this will get smoother each day!
Gates Close at 3:16: Any late pickups will walk to Kiss'N'Go.

Kindergarten Arrival:
Students walking with families will enter through the walk up gate pictured below.
Students participating in the Kiss‘N’Go drive through will pull up as far as possible in the front loop. Passing is not allowed in this area. Please remain in your vehicle and have students exit out the passenger side of the car. If your child needs assistance, staff is available to support so you can remain in your vehicle.
Arrival is one lane...
Dismissal: THREE Lanes
Kindergarten Dismissal:
This year we will have three lanes of Kiss and Go.
Please stay in your car and remain patient while we train the students (and parents) our procedures. It will get smoother each day!
Do not pass other vehicles.
Students will be dismissed from the front walk up gate, the car line Kiss ‘N’ Go, or will be escorted to the bus lane or SafeKey.
As you arrive to the Kiss ‘N’ Go lane, be sure your name placard is visible to staff. We will have the first six cars pull up into the spots to the right labeled 1 through 6. The next six cars to arrive will park just to the left of those first six vehicles. Any cars arriving after the first twelve vehicles will create two lines within the rest of the Kiss 'n Go loop. After the loop is full, please wait along the south side of Quadrel and be sure not to block any resident driveways.
Once the students arrive for dismissal, we will dismiss the first 6 vehicles along the curb (Lane A). We will then have all the cars in the loop wait until the second group of 6 (Lane B) is loaded and then the third lane (Lane C). Once those cars are safely out of the way, we will have the next vehicles in line pull forward.
Please be patient as we train the students to listen for their names and follow dismissal procedures.
Breakfast and lunch are free for all students for the 2024 – 2025 school year.
Menus will no longer be sent home every month. The menus can be found here.
It is highly encouraged to practice opening and closing lunch boxes and any other items.

Absences
When your child is absent from school, please fill out this form within 3 days stating the reason for the absence. It is also located on our school website under Parents>Attendance>Absence Notes.
If you take your child to the dentist/doctor/quick care, etc., please get a note for any absences missed. This helps reduce our chronic absenteeism. You can take a photograph of the excuse and upload to the form above.
If you prefer, you can also send an absence note with your student within three days of the absence.
