PURPOSE: The All City Music Festival offers a unique venue for ensembles to participate in a neutral/accessible festival setting which is currently not available in the Clark County School District.
ELIGIBILITY: Participation is open to High Schools, Junior High (Middle Schools) & Elementary Schools. Participation in the All City Music Festival Festival will be limited to the first 25 applicants per content area. Schools may enter a maximum of 4 ensembles; however, a separate entry form/fee must be submitted for each ensemble. Performance slots will be granted on a first-come, first served basis.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Each ensemble will be allowed a maximum of 20 minutes to perform, including moving on and off the stage & adjudicator clinic. The performance can include anything from one to four pieces performed from memory or with music. There is no required list for this festival; please feel free to showcase any music that you choose.
ADJUDICATION: Ensembles will receive a rating at the All City Music Festival; directors may opt for comments only. Ensembles will receive a clinic on stage by one of the clinicians. Ensembles will receive a framed certificate for their participation in the festival.
What group/ensemble should attend the All City Festival?
Any group is welcome to attend (Middle School or High School). This festival also encourages teachers who have a musical theater class, group voice class, vocal jazz ensemble, pop choir, show choir or an ensemble that wants to experience a festival WITHOUT the pressure of scores & sight reading. We do offer scores as an option if you choose to do so.
What is the purpose of the All City Festival?
The purpose of the All City Festival is to provide music ensembles with a professional performance experience, improve students’ music performance through assessment, increase students’ understanding of music literature and music concepts, motivate students to continue their study of music, establish standards of excellence in music performance and to provide opportunities for students to understand the relationship of music experiences to other life experiences.
What kind of schools are allowed to attend the festival? (public, private, charter, etc.)
ALL schools are welcome! Whether you are teaching at a public, private or charter school, we encourage anyone with a choir to attend for a great experience.
What type of venue will my ensemble be performing in? What equipment will be provided?
Our Theater is a wonderful venue for singing and is the perfect size for any group; acoustics are great as well. We have state of the art lighting & sound. The equipment that will be provided: a baby grand piano, conductors music stand, conductors platform to stand on & 3-step choir risers (4 rows total including the stage floor).
Will my ensemble receive a picture and a certificate?
Yes, each ensemble will take a group picture on stage before they perform. Pictures will be edited and sent to directors digitally via email at a later date. Each ensemble will also receive an All City Music Festival framed certificate.

How will my ensemble be adjudicated? Are adjudications scored on paper or scored digitally? Is there a standard rubric?
Adjudications for scores are totally optional. Adjudications will be done digitally, however, we are prepared to score physically on paper just in case we run into any technical difficulties. If you choose to be adjudicated, our festival uses the standard Middle School/High School festival rubric for adjudicating ensembles. See link below for more details on our rubric.
Is this festival a competition?
NO, not at all. However, we do award each ensemble with a digital certificate.
What music / repertoire can be performed at this festival?
ANY & ALL music is welcome here. No festival standards are required. Please feel free to bring anything that you would like to share! (Maximum of 4 pieces per ensemble) - Please remember that you have a total of 20 min on stage including walking on & off the stage.
Do I need a copies of the music for the adjudicators?
Yes, we do need original copies of music for each adjudicator (3 adjudicators total)
Can the adjudicator copy be a photocopy of the music?
Yes, as long as it does NOT interfere with copyright laws. Printed E-music is also acceptable.
Can my ensemble perform music that I composed myself?
Yes!
Do I need an accompanist?
If you and your ensemble require an accompanist, you will need to bring your own. We will NOT be providing an accompanist. If you do not need an accompanist, no need to worry. You are also allowed to perform with tracks. You will receive an email about how to upload your performance tracks closer to the date of the festival.
Must I bring my own percussion instruments (drum set, marimba, etc.)?
Yes, ensembles must bring their own equipment for their performance.
Do I need to introduce my piece?
No, we will provide an announcer for the festival.
