Say hello to our wonderful team!
Hello there! My name is Yashesvi (Yash) Sharma. Since elementary school, I participated in many clubs and extracurricular activities, including Science Olympiad. I have competed under this organization for 3 years where my events were very Earth Science based, and hope to continue to do so. In my current year of academia, my team and I competed in the Nevada Chapter of the Future Cities Competition, where we won the event for Best Land Surveying System, sponsored by NCCES (National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying). Throughout my life, I've always had a passion for math and STEM education, and I want to pursue it further in my higher and secondary education. Additionally, I really enjoy presenting and spreading my thoughts to other people. My main inspiration comes from all of the scientists who have dedicated their life to advancing our society, and I hope to one be a part of that group. In regards to my nationality, I speak four languages (Punjabi, Hindi, Telugu, and English), and I hope to learn more. In terms of other interests, I have been playing piano for eight years, and I have also been swimming for the same amount of time. As of right now, I am a member of Lifetime's Nevada Swim Team under the Silver Division. Finally, I am very interested in the concept of aesthetics and graphic design. I enjoy making my own posts, presentations, and business cards. Make sure you check you my other team members! I think we created this dynamic very nicely, and that is why we were able to get to this point in the competition. We want to thank you all for your support, as it means a lot to us! Thank you!
Hi! Welcome to our website! My name is Christian Rebolledo. I am 13 years old and a driven member of Cibusflore. Like my partner Yash, I participated in the Science Olympiad since the fourth grade. Ever since then, I have been intrigued by the disciplines chemistry and biology. The prospect of utilizing my biochemical prowess for a large-scale project such as Cibusflore furthered my interest in life science. Science Olympiad not only introduced a method to explore my interests, but also inspired the project of Cibusflore. In the event Food Science, I came across the idea of heterotrophic fermentation, and furthered an exploration of this process within algae, to found this project. In my first competition of 2018 for Science Olympiad, I won three bronze medals in each of my events. In my second competition of 2019, I did not win any medals, but I learned a lot about how I could better my work in both efficient and plausible manners. Since I was first introduced to project-based-learning in the fourth grade, I searched for every opportunity to extend my education to real-world applications and have succeeded. Throughout these projects, I gained both valuable, out-of-the-classroom knowledge, and experiences that quenched my thirst to problem-solve. I did a StartUp weekend with an idea called "Smog-Be-Gone" in January of 2018 focusing on atmospheric pollution and filtration using polyacrylonitrile filters. My team and I were congratulated first place winning 300 dollars. I once again did a StartUp weekend later in 2019 about photoplethysmographic technology winning third place and 100 dollars. Last year, we did a project called Auxillium for this very competition, eCybermission. Although we did not win, we learned a lot to inspire the project Cibusflore. Next year, I will be attending TKS (The Knowledge Society) in hopes of furthering my scientific interests.
On behalf of Cibusflore, thank you!

My name is Christopher Lee, and I'm 13 years old and I have been playing the violin since age four and have since then taken on many other instruments that I found interest in. As a part-time hobby to music, I gained an interest in science and research whist doing music on the side. after joining this group, I gained an appreciation for life science and all the things that came with it. Science introduced a new aspect into my life in which I could just delve into new learning possibilities. These new learning possibilities allowed to me to contribute to this life science focused project. This helped me grow as a student and presented me with many more learning possibilities. Along with this, I participated in Science Olympiad and expanded my knowledge on herpetology, heredity, and topographic maps. I also learned an extensive amount about coding and robotics. I also participated in many orchestras including Honor Orchestra, LVYO, and Chamber Orchestra. I also got accepted into TKS for 2020 and am using it for another outlet for learning more about science. I also attended many different schools in search for the best education possible in the state of Nevada. I also took a state induced GATE test in which I passed and made into the program. I am also a bilingual speaking English and Korean due to my family being from Korea.
The support is amazing! Thank you!
My name is Daiki Komada. I'm 13 year old. I am a proud member of Cibusflore. Since fourth grade, I started to learn saxophone, now I am playing in the Nevada School of the Arts Jazz Band, and play alto and baritone saxophone. I played in the Nevada State Band of 2019. Although, my experience with science projects was quite withdrawn before, Cibusflore showed me that science could be fun and interactive. I am level J in Kumon and I have been doing it since I was 6. Ever since I was young I was interested in coding and computer science, I do lessons of coding and I am currently working on Godot Game Maker. During 5th and 6th grade I participated in track and field. I speak both English and Japanese. I was a member of future cities in 6th grade, our project utilized a gyro-sphere to avoid natural disasters. We also had many different green energy sources. During Summer Break last year, I attended a Coding Camp that taught us how to make a simple game. With my fellow teammate Christopher, we volunteer for a local senior center and play music for them. Along with eCyberMission, I also regionally won another national science project called Lexus Eco Challenge. I learned about strategy, analysis, and work ethic from chess club.
