The Aggies had another great tournament! The team took 1st place in Small Schools Sweepstakes. Individually, Narissa Staples took 4th place in JV House and 5th place in Original Oratory, Kenneth Ortiz took 5th place in JV Congress, and Caroline Fitzgerald took 3rd place in JV House. Congratulations everyone!

Arbor View HIgh School Tournament

Arbor View was proud to host a tournament for the second year in a row. The team did an awesome job of putting on an amazing tournament and put in a strong showing in the competition. The team once again took 1st place in Small School Sweepstakes! Individually, Narissa Staples to 1st place in Novice Original Oratory and 2nd Place and Top Chair in her chamber in Novice Congress, Tristan Wong took 1st Place and Top Chair in his chamber in Novice Congress, Caroline Fitzgerald took 2nd place in her chamber in Novice Congress, Kenneth Ortiz took 6th place in his chamber in Novice Congress, Hayden Hochberg took 5th place in Varsity HI, and Zachary Bogart took 4th place in JV Congress.

NIETOC Qualifier at Foothill High School

This was the first open tournament of the season. All our novices and JV members did a phenomenal job competing against Varsity competitors for the first time. Congratulations to Zachary Bogart and Narissa Staples for earning their first bids to NIETOC! Zach earned a bid in US Extemporaneous Speaking and Rissa earned a bid in Original Oratory.

The AVHS debate novices, supported by their team president, Zachary Bogart, were on fire this weekend! Sunrise Mountain Tournament

The AVHS Speech & Debate team took 1st place overall at the Sunrise Mountain tournament in the small schools sweepstakes category. Individually the following students placed in their events: Caroline Fitzgerald, 4th place, Novice Informative Speaking; Narissa Staples, 6th place, Novice Original Oratory and 4th place, Novice Congressional Debate; Hayden Hochberg, 2nd place, Varsity Humorous Interpretation; Leif Deines, 2nd place Novice Congressional Debate; Maireli Torres-Gomez, 5th place, Novice Congressional Debate; Kailey Garay, 3rd place, JV Congressional Debate; Zoe England, 5th place, JV Congressional Debate.
