As of this date (Tuesday August 11th) we are no longer taking any new athletes to the cross country team. Our first race is August 22nd and there just isn't enought time to get athtletes that have yet to train with us prepared to race. If you weren't able to come out this year that is ok. We will be starting track and field intramurals later this year.
Congratulations to our team captains as voted on by their peers.
Boys team captains: Pierson Butler and Asher Speer
Girls team captains: Bradi Pringle and Zoey Hutchins
The team fee for 2026 will be $275. This will cover the cost of local invitationals, timing for our home meet, equipment, and the spirit pack. The spirit pack will include sweats and a t shirt.
The team fee will not cover the cost of out of state travel since not all athletes will be going to these meets.
The team fee will not cover the cost of your uniform. You may use your uniform from previous years if you already have one.
The uniform is $90. This is not covered in the team fee. The Arbor View team uniform is a singlet and a pair of shorts. The uniform fee is only mandatory for incoming freshman and athletes new to the team need to purchase a uniform.
Athletes may use their uniform from previous track&field or cross country seasons. So if you have your old uniform, it is totally ok to use that.
Boys will run first at most meets.

You will need the following forms for your RMA account to be marked complete. Print these out. The first document will help you with your RMA account. The second document is the physical form that you need to take to your physician so they can fill it out. The last two documents should be filled out completey and returned to us. Your best bet is to give them to Ms. P. She can turn them into the atheltic office for you.
You must be completely cleared in RMA/Aktivate inorder to tryout. If you have any portions that are not green check marked you will be sent home. Please get your RMA/Aktivate completed. This is your responsibility. If you have questions please ask Ms. P for help before tryouts take place. Asking the Friday night before tryouts is also not a good idea.
Tryouts will consist of a timed run so we can see your ability level and curent level of fitness. Please get yourself ready before this date as cuts may happen depending on how many athletes tryout.
Day of Tryouts:
Athletes day of tryouts instructions:
Step 1: Check in with Ms. P in portable 23. She will check the status of your RMA account. If it is not complete you will be sent home. If it is complete, she will give you a bib number and send you out to the track.
Step 2: Pin that bib number to the front of your shirt. We will warm up as a team.
Step 3: Run your time trial. We will collect times and post them on our website.
Step 4: Talk to Coach Thrasher about your results. Go home!
Parents day of tryouts instructions:
Step 1: Your athletes RMA/aktivate account must be completed. All portions. We will send them home if any part of it is not completed. Please do your part in getting this done. Reach out to Ms. P asap with questions. She can help you. Paperwork takes time to clear. So please don't wait until the week of tryouts to get this done.
Step 2: You will need to wait in the parking lot during try outs. Unfortunately practices/workouts are closed. We know you are awesome but we can't have people around children that are not cleared by CCSD. It's a safety precaution to keep everyone safe.
Step 3: After tryouts have been completed we will have a parent meeting in Coach Thrasher's classroom (portable 12). Hopefully this happens around 7:30 am. We will offer two parent meetings before the season starts. If you can't make it to this one, there will be a second one offered at a date TBA. It is mandatory that you come to one of them. We are working with your child and we want to make sure you can get all your questions answered about the upcoming season.
