We will be at Shadow Ridge for the first weekday meet of the year. Please use the google form to sign up for the events you think you would like to participate in. The coaching staff has the final say in what events you do. Adjustments will be made based on skill level and the needs of the individual and the team.
This google form will lock on Sunday March 1st at 6 pm.
Remember your team fee of $275 was due on Friday. Please speak with us if you have questions.
If you are new and would like to hurdle, we will have hurdle practice for athletes new to hurdles on Monday March 2nd
Monday Practice: 1:30 - 2:45ish
Tuesday: Meet At Shadow Ridge
Wednesday: Practice 1:30 - 2:45ish
Thursday: Practice 1:30 - 2:45ish
Friday Practice: 1:30 -2:45ish
Saturday: Invitational at Legacy (Dave Butler Invite)
These are the event groups as of now. Please know that event groups can change as we learn more about the athletes. Remember we have to find the event that is right for you and Arbor View, not the event that you "want" to do. We are still determining some of the jumps. Girls should be over 13/14 feet in order to keep working at long jump and boys should be over 17 feet.
If you feel there is a mistake or have questions please talk with Coach Thrasher at practice.
Hurdles will be working most week on Tuesdays. If you are interested in hurdling, please know that we will look at your time trial results and your 30 meter fly time. Hurdles are a sprint race. Boys should be under 3.5 seconds and girls should be under 4.0 in order to hurdle. Talk to Coach Thrasher if you are interested.
Parents please only join the parents remind. We get limited spots for each group. We can't have parents join event groups becuase it takes up a spot of an athlete. If a parent joins an event group, we have to remove them to make spots for athletes.

There are 2 ways one can earn a varsity letter.
Option 1: Participate in the Regional Championship meet. Qualifying and participating are two different things. Just because an athlete qualifies for regionals doesn't mean they will participate at Regionals. An athlete must actually participate in the Regional meet to earn their Varsity letter.
Option 2: If an athlete hits any of the standards below they will earn a Varsity letter. Hitting any of the marks below will earn a Varsity letter whether they participate in the Regional meet or not.
