You must get a sports physical completed. Go to the documents page to find the physical form. There you will also find an authorization form and a step by step guide for how to use RMA/aktivate.
You will upload all of information into an RMA/aktivate account. CLICK HERE FOR THAT WEBSITE. There you will create an account and upload your physical and insurance information.
This must be done or you will be sent home until you get it completed.
If you are getting stuck, please reach out to Ms. P through REMIND OR email. She is an expert at RMA accounts but you must have the appropriate documents ready. Please have your login information handy so she can walk you through it.
The competitive season runs from February until the end of the school year in May. Typically tryouts are the 3rd week of February.
We do intramurals almost all year to get kids ready for the season. If you are serious about track then you will want to start well before February.
Remember you need an RMA/aktivate account before you can participate in any sort of way. If you don't have an account set up, you will be sent home.
Our job as trained professionals is to find the event that best suits you. This is our job. Your job is to be open minded to what you can do. We have had athletes think they were sprinters but realized they were really distance runners. We have had athletes that knew nothing about pole vault, but eventually medaled in the state championship meet. Trust us. Most of our coaches have been doing this since the 1900's.
No. The coaches are here to make the best possible track team at Arbor View. We are not here to train you for your own individual needs. That's what personal trainers are for. You would not ask the basketball coach to train you even though you don't plan on playing basketball. If you are with us we expect you to be part of the track and field family.
Nope.
Arbor View athletes must be coached by Arbor View coaches during the competitive season. If you want to be part of our track and field family, we expect you to fully commit to what we do. You can do what you want during the offseason, but we also offer some type of training pretty much year round. Also we feel that we have one of the most knowledgeable coaching staffs in the entire valley.

This is the order of events for all meets in the state of Nevada. There typically isn't a time schedule for track. The only time we really know is when the meet starts. Once one event gets done, the next event will start.
Track meet results can be typically found on two different websites. Check out the following links below.
Milesplit is the official website for the state of Nevada Regional and Championship meets.
athleteic.net has a tremendous amount of school history in its data base since 2007. Athletic.net is where the majority of results will be. Check there often. (athletic.net is super cool. the students can update profile pictures and see their results over their career)
Weekday Meets VS. Invitational Meets
Weekday meets are for all members of the track team that are eligible to participate. Invitationals are not for everybody. Invitationals are meets that typically take place on the weekend. Invitationals are meets where only the top athletes from each event can participate. For invitationals we can take no more than 3 athletes per event. Out of town invitationals are even more restrictive. Event officials will tell the coaches which athletes have qualified for their invitational meet.
There are 2 ways to earn a track and field varsity letter. Student athletes only need to meet one of the given requirements.
Option 1: Meet any of the Varsity Letter Requirement Marks (these are updated yearly).
Option 2: Participate at the 4A Regional championships meet in May
Any student that is removed from the team or does not finish the season can not earn a varsity letter. Not participating in the regional championships due to other commitments (like going on vacation, ineligible due to grades, club soccer or any other clubs/sports/activities) is considered not finishing the season.
Sadly everything costs money. Team fees cover a wide variety of expenses. Team fees are not refundable. It doesn't matter if an athlete competes in a meet or not, team fees are not refundable.
The team fees for the 2025 season will be $250.
Nope.
You can reach Ms. P or Coach Thrasher through their email accounts. Remember that we also teach. We also deal with almost 200 students a day coming in and out of our classroom. Even though we love track & field the most its technically not our real job. Ms. P is the fastest at replying. You can also reach out through remind.

Sorry, but sometimes we have to do some spring cleaning. We aren't trying to hurt your feelings. There are a wide variety of reasons one gets removed from the remind stream. We are only alloted a certain amount of people in each group. If you don't have a name on your account or we don't know who you are we will remove you. Parents please put your full name and only sign up for the parent group. Sometimes we have people who graduate or sign up on multiple accounts. This take up slots for new sign ups. If you feel it was a mistake just resign back up. Remember we are trying to monitor who is part of our group.
