Design Drafting II
Course Fee - $10
This one-year complementary course is designed for students who have successfully completed Design Drafting II. This course provides students with instruction in advanced techniques and processes. Areas of emphasis will include building codes, building materials, green building techniques, and professional presentation skills. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfills one of the elective credits required for high school graduation.

This introductory year-long course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of sketching and computer-aided drafting and design (CADD). This course provides students with knowledge and practice in sketching techniques required to produce multi-view drawings, pictorial drawings, and dimensioning. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfills one of the Arts/Humanities/CTE credits required for high school graduation.

This completer year-long course is designed for students who have successfully completed Design Drafting I. Areas of emphasis include Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) techniques and processes, sketching, plotting, scaling, and three-dimensional models. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfills one of the Arts/Humanities/CTE credits required for high school graduation. This course may count towards the College and Career Ready Flex Credit requirements for the Standard Diploma.

Architectural Design
Course Fee - $20
This one-year complementary course is designed for students who have successfully completed a Design Drafting pathway and have the desire to pursue advanced study through investigation and in-depth research. Students are expected to work independently or in a team and consult with their supervising teacher for guidance. The supervising teacher will give directions, monitor, and evaluate the students’ topic of study. Experiences may include job shadowing, completion of capstone or project-based learning projects, and/or portfolio development. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriate use of technology is an integral part of this course. This course fulfills one of the elective credits required for high school graduation and may be repeated.
