William (Liam) Bradley Kollasch

William (Liam) Bradley Kollasch is the son of Landon and Renae Kollasch and the oldest sibling to Adeline, Castor, Diesel, and Wolfgang. His plan after graduating high school is to major in Graphic Design at Iowa Lakes. In 10 years, Liam sees himself married, having a couple kids, a good paying job, and a nice house. The crazy student sections at the home volleyball games are what he will remember most about high school. One piece of advice that he would give to the freshman would be to stay positive and get your work done. “With great power, comes great responsibility,” from Uncle Ben, is a quote that Liam will live by. He feels that his biggest accomplishment throughout high school has been being on the honor roll every year, however, his biggest challenge has been giving his best effort in all of the activities he is involved in. Liam cannot live without his bed, and his favorite subject in school is history. His favorite movie is The Dark Knight and his favorite food is tacos.

Gabe Scott Muir

Gabriel Scott Muir is the child of Larry and Kathi Walker. Gabe is involved in robotics and is going to remember North Union for his friends and thoughtful teachers. One piece of advice he'd like to pass on to freshmen is to “relax and enjoy”. A quote that Gabe lives by is “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”, which is also the title of an inspiring song by Bobby McFerrin. Gabe's favorite subject is science and his favorite movie is The Guardians of the Galaxy. The food that Gabe enjoys the most is chicken nuggets. Gabe feels his biggest accomplishment is making it through high school, while his biggest challenge has been his grades. Two things that Gabe cannot live without are his sweatshirt and phone, and in ten years Gabe sees himself working. 



Naomi Rakae Jones 

Naomi Rakae Jones is the daughter of Erin Rogers and Jerod Jones. She has two siblings, Aliyah and Taylin. One memory that she will remember about her time at North Union is making state track her junior year and breaking the school 4x1 record. One piece of advice that she would give to the freshman would be to get out of her comfort zone and talk to everyone. A quote that Naomi lives by is "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take," by Wayne Gretzky. Her favorite subject in school is P.E., she enjoys watching the movie No Hard Feelings, and her favorite food is ribs. One thing that Naomi cannot live without is her family and friends. She feels her biggest accomplishment so far has been making homecoming court and becoming homecoming queen. Her biggest challenge in highschool has been managing time between school work, sports, and other activities. After graduation, Naomi plans to attend college and pursue a business degree. Later in 10 years, she sees herself working a job and married with children.

Becca Marie Heinen 

Becca Marie Heinen is the daughter of Chad and Jill Heinen and is the sister to Jay and Max Heinen. Becca's favorite memory that she will remember from her time at North Union is winning musical chairs during homecoming senior year. One piece of advice she would give to underclassmen is not to take life too seriously because no one gets out alive anyway. Her favorite quote to live by is from her dad, Chad Heinen, "Common sense is not common." Becca's favorite subject in school is science, her favorite movie is Walt Disney's Robin Hood, and her favorite food is chicken alfredo. After graduating high school, Becca plans to attend Iowa State University to major in Aerospace Engineering. Becca feels her biggest accomplishment is having a 4.0 throughout high school, however, keeping her 4.0 has also been her biggest challenge. One thing she cannot live without is her phone. In 10 years, Becca sees herself working for an engineering firm.

James Jonathen Geerdes 

James Johnathen Geerdes is the son of Jacob and Samantha Geerdes and the brother of Nathan, Bre, and Jayden. One memory James will remember from his time at high school is his sophomore year P.E. class. A piece of advice he would give to a freshman is to get your work done on time. “One small crack does not mean that you are broken, it means that you were put to the test and didn't fall apart” - Linda Poindexter is a quote James likes to live by. His favorite subject in school is History, and his plan after high school is to work and then attend college. James’ favorite movie is Fast And Furious 7, and his favorite food is pizza. When asked what his biggest accomplishment has been so far James said graduating high school. His biggest challenge though has been staying focused in class. One thing James cannot live without is his car. In 10 years James hopes to see himself making money and living life.

Zoey Renee Asche 

Zoey Renee Asche is the daughter of Desi and Nathan Asche and the sister to Zack Asche, and Zephany, Zaelynn, Zayda, and Zayne Woods. One memory she will remember about her time at North Union is her freshman homecoming. One piece of advice she would give to the freshmen and underclassmen is to keep up their GPA, as it's hard to fix as a senior and more important than you think! Zoey's favorite quote to live by is, "You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough." Her favorite subject in school is history or English, her favorite movie is The Upside, and her favorite food is pizza. Zoey's plans after high school are to go to Iowa Lakes to major in human services and then transfer to a four-year university for psychology. So far she feels her biggest accomplishment is passing all years in high school, and her biggest challenge has been balancing school life with home life. One thing she cannot live without is her parents. In ten years, Zoey sees herself married with children and working her dream job.

Shelby Renee Potratz

Shelby Renee Potratz is the daughter of Wade and Shawna Potratz and the sister to Kayla, Abby, and Karly Potratz. Her favorite memory of her time at North Union is any time her and Maddison would laugh in classes they had together over the dumbest things. One piece of advice she would give is to let yourself get wrapped up in good moments, that way you can always look back and smile at them. Her favorite quote is "Life is tough, and things don't always work out well, but we should be brave and go on with our lives."          -Suga of BTS. Her favorite subject in school is English. Her plans after high school are to attend Iowa Central Community College for Dental Hygiene. Her favorite movie is Over the Moon and her favorite food is chicken strips. She feels her biggest accomplishment so far is learning to be a leader and take initiative as well as be a teammate as a cheer captain. She feels her biggest challenge has been finding a balance between everything she needs to do and enjoying doing it every year. One thing she cannot live without is her phone. In ten years, she sees herself working as a dental hygienist and spoiling her niece.

Landon Thomas Hagedorn

Landon is the son of Roger and Carol Hagedorn being the youngest of three children, Derrick and Sam. His future plans include attending North West Iowa Community College in Sheldon for powerline tech. and in the future, hopes to be working as a lineman. Landon's most memorable moments of high school were making it to the playoffs in football two years in a row. His favorites include the industrial technology class at our school, the movie Wolf of Wall Street, and food being steak.  Landon's biggest accomplishment so far is maintaining his 4.0 GPA while his biggest challenge is showing up every day and putting in the hard work and effort. One thing he could never live without is money and his favorite quote to live by is "If you ain't first, you're last" by Rickey Bobby from the movie Talladega Nights. His advice to the freshman and the future incoming freshman is to take two showers every day.

Roman Joseph Lee Prezla-Brown


Roman Joseph Lee Prezla-Brown is the son of Richard and Tammy Brown. One important memory Roman has from North Union is when he broke his collarbone at his sophomore year homecoming. He would tell freshmen to pay attention and not do anything that will hurt them academically.  Roman lives by the quote, "If you do what you love, you won't ever work a day in your life."  His favorite subject in school is math. After school, Roman plans on joining the military. His favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption. His favorite food is a burger. Roman's biggest accomplishment so far is getting to senior year. However, time management has been his biggest challenge. Roman cannot live without his friends.  In ten years, he hopes to be living in California.

Amelia Grace Fothergill 

Amelia Grace Fothergill is the daughter of Kurt and Lydia Fothergill. She has three older sisters Andie, Alyssa, and Alex. The memory she is going to remember most about high school is being close with everyone and spending time with her friends every day. One piece of advice that she would give to all underclassmen is to get involved and talk to everyone! One of Amelia's favorite quotes is, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take,"  by Michael Scott. Her favorite subject in school is accounting, and she plans to major in Elementary Education at an undecided college. Her favorite movie is How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and her favorite food is chicken enchiladas. Amelia feels her biggest challenge in high school is procrastinating, however, she feels her biggest accomplishment so far has been making homecoming court. Money is one thing that she can never live without. In 10 years Amelia sees herself working and having a family.

Michaela Michelle Carranza

Michaela Michelle Carranza is the daughter of Victor and Sandy Carranza. She has four siblings Jennifer, Katrina, Nikki, and Aiden Carranza. A memory she will remember from her time at North Union was freshman homecoming. One piece of advice she would offer to the freshman is to stay involved and don't be stupid. A quote she lives by is "There is no such thing as failure. It's a life lesson for the future," - Invajy.  Her favorite subject in school is English, and after high school, she plans to attend the University of Iowa and major in Political Science. Her favorite movie is The Conjuring and her favorite food is chicken Alfredo. So far, her biggest accomplishment is being accepted to the Univeristy of Iowa. Her biggest challenge so far has been staying motivated. Something she cannot live without is her phone. In ten years, she sees herself working a job in politics, and being somewhat successful.

Lexi Jean Vaske

Lexi Vaske is the daughter of Todd and Stacy Vaske. She has two siblings, Levi and Zane Vaske. While at North Union, her favorite memory was winning novelty at state dance in her freshman and junior years, and receiving fourth place freshman year and third place sophomore year in solos. A piece of advice she would offer the freshman is to enjoy every minute, you will be graduating before you know it. A quote Lexi lives by is "If you can dream it, you can do it" - Walt Disney.  Her favorite subject in school is human anatomy.  After high school, Lexi plans to continue education at Southeast Technical College in Sioux Falls for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Her favorite movie is Furious 7 and her favorite food is steak. So far, Lexi feels that her biggest accomplishment is keeping her 4.0 GPA and being accepted into the college she wanted. She also feels that her biggest challenge has been her health issues in her junior year. One thing Lexi cannot live without is many hours of sleep. In ten years, Lexi sees herself working as a sonographer at a local hospital, married with a family.

Paizlee Ricke

Paizlee Kae Ricke, daughter of Amy and Alan Ricke, and sister to Zoe, Tori, Zach, and Charlie. Paizlees plans after highschool are to become a CNA and work at a nursing home. Her favorite memory during high school was her freshman year. One of her accomplishments she’s very proud of is going to school while being a mom. One piece of advice Paizlee would give to the freshman is, “enjoy it while you can”.  Paizlee's favorite quote to live by is “you are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream”. One thing Paizlee can not live without is her mom. In ten years, Paizlee sees herself graduated with her own house and possibly married. Paizlee's favorite subject is English. Her favorite movie is Grown Ups. Her favorite food is tacos. Paizlee is on a path to many great things and has gone through so much, she is so strong and has a bright future ahead of her.

Talan John Priester

Talan John Priester is the son of Stephanie Priester. One of his favorite memories is from the Okoboji baseball game his junior year where he hit two home runs. One piece of advice he would give to the freshman is to do your homework and turn everything in on time. A quote Talan lives by is, "Opportunities don't just happen, you create them" -Chris Grosser. P.E. is his favorite subject in school. After high school, he plans to attend college and play baseball. Talan's favorite movie is Transformers as well as his favorite food is a cheeseburger. Of his many accomplishments, getting offered to play baseball in college is his number one. The biggest challenge Talan has faced is trying to keep up his good grades. One thing he cannot live without is his phone. In ten years, Talan hopes to be working a well-paying job.

Levi Michael Vaske

Levi Michael Vaske is the child of Todd and Stacy Vaske, and he is the older brother of Lexi and Zane. His favorite memory throughout his high school career is hanging out with his friends. A piece of advice he wants freshmen to know is “Get your credits done”. A quote that Levi lives by is “Got to spend money to make money,” a piece of advice and lesson he learned from his dad, Todd Vaske. His favorite subject in school is shop and he plans to go into farming after high school. In 10 years he also sees himself successfully farming. Mr. Vaske’s favorite movie(s) is the Fast and Furious series. As for his favorite food, he loves cheeseburgers. Levi considers farming to be the one thing he cannot live without. His biggest challenge was doing well in high school and being successful, this too is also what he considers his biggest success.

Faith Genevieve Steinberger

Faith Genevieve Steinberger is the daughter of Stacy and the late Rick Steinberger and sisters to Tad, Grace, Hope, and Ava. One of her favorite memories of high school is becoming closer to new and old friends. One piece of advice she would give to the upcoming freshmen and freshmen now is to respect your teachers. A quote she likes to live by is "Whatever you are, be a good one" - Abraham Lincoln. One subject Faith connected with and liked was History. After high school Faith plans to attend Iowa Lakes for 2 years for her generals and then transfer to Waldorf for High School Special Education. Her favorite movie is Up, and her favorite food is tacos specifically soft shell. Her biggest accomplishment is becoming a cheer captain and also making homecoming court. Her biggest challenge so far is maintaining a job with school and cheer practice. One thing she cannot live without is her cat Lucky and her mom. In 10 years Faith hopes to see herself teaching at a school and living her best life. 

Lindsay Kay Daschner 

Lindsay Kay Daschner is the daughter of Mark and Karey Daschner.  One of her favorite memories is going to sporting events and being in an energized atmosphere. One piece of advice she would give to the freshman is to put effort into their schoolwork and grades every year. A quote Lindsay lives by is "The sufferings we experience now cannot compare to the joy shown in the future" Romans 8:18. Her favorite subject in school is science. After high school, Lindsay plans to attend the University of Sioux Falls for a degree in nursing. Her favorite movie is Where the Crawdads Sings and her favorite food is shrimp alfredo. Lindsay's biggest accomplishment is getting into her dream college. The biggest challenge she has encountered was balancing school, sports, extracurriculars, and a job, while still making time with friends and family. Family and friends is something Lindsay cannot live without. In ten years, she hopes to be working as a pediatric nurse in a hospital, enjoying life with her family and friends.
