Olivia VonBank

Olivia VonBank graduated from North Union in 2023. Olivia now goes to the university of UNI majoring in Kinesiology with the plan of going to medical school. "I love college, it's so much fun and there is so much freedom involved". She does miss the homey feeling of our high school and seeing everyone every day, she also misses the sports that she was involved in. Her favorite memory of high school was either senior year homecoming or when Mr. Zotz accidentally shaved off his eyebrows.

Mary Waldron

Mary Waldron graduated from North Union High School in 2023. After graduating she started working as a head teacher at a Before and After Program for kids. One of her biggest accomplishments is being able to graduate from High School with lots of fun memories and great friends. Her advice to High Schoolers would be to make memories and join sports. Fun fact about Mary is she's loud but everybody knows that. Right now she does not plan on going to college and she is happy where she is at right now.

Kennedy Krantz

Kennedy graduated from North Union High School in 2018. After graduating she went to Iowa Lakes to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. She currently works at Little Mustangs Learning Center as a childcare provider and also preschool teacher. Kennedy misses the social aspect most from high school. Some advice she would give to every high schooler is to enjoy every second, it goes so fast. Kennedy's biggest accomplishment is graduating from high school and college as well as becoming an assistant director and having her dream job.

Zach Asche

Zack Asche is this week's Alumni, Zack graduated in May of 2020. Zacks biggest accomplishment in life so far “having a stable income and good paying job”. Zack also is proud of himself for having his own house, and making it through hard times. The hardest task Zack had to go through was getting to where he wants to be in life. One thing Zack misses about school is “having it easy, you don’t really realize how hard and how harsh the world can be until you’re out on your own.”. One thing Zack would tell high schoolers is “Nobody will hold your hand learn to do it yourself.”

Rachel Henriksen

I’m a sophomore nursing major at Northwestern College. I’m involved with campus activities such as dancing on the dance team, representing my class in nursing student government, serving as a discipleship group (Bible study) leader, and being a student ambassador! I miss being close to family and friends from back home. It’s only a two-hour drive back home from college though, so it’s nice to not be too far! Plus I really love the friendships I’ve made here at college. Regarding my career, I envision myself working in a hospital five years from now. Ideally, I would be close to my family back home. If I could give any advice to the seniors I would tell this year’s seniors to not wish away the school year, to not rush through it, and to really soak in each day. Don’t worry too much about a year from now, next month, or even tomorrow. This is a great time in your life, so soak in the fun memories and do the spontaneous fun things!
