The Nueva MUN Team is a student-led group consisting of students from the Nueva Upper School. The MUN Team found its beginnings in 2017 with a small group of freshmen; quickly expanding into a team of over 40 active delegates. The team manages all its logistics and curriculum independently. In addition to attending regional and national conferences, the team organizes the Nueva Model United Nations Conference (NMUNC), which is hosted annually.

Model United Nations (MUN) is an extracurricular activity where students—referred to as delegates—represent a specific organization, country, or person and come together to create solutions. In its most traditional form, MUN emulates the United Nations by using committees such as General Assemblies or the Security Council. Many conferences have begun to create innovative committees that allow delegates to take on the role of people, such as CEOs, dictators, or even fictional characters. The goal of MUN is to promote diplomacy, collaboration, and problem-solving while engaging in current or historical events.
The team's student-led conference has occurred annually for the past six years. Run each spring, the conference specifically invites beginner delegates to find their footing within MUN at NMUNC. The conference also runs advanced crisis committees for seasoned delegates, ensuring that educational debates can happen at all levels.
