Daily & 3 Day UN Slip Procedures

As an Adviser, you will receive Daily & 3 Day UN slips in your mailboxes (see examples below). These will be individual sheets of paper for your advisees who have an absence which needs to be resolved.

  • For the Daily UN sheets, have a conversation with your advisee and if it is an absence you can resolve with a PX/VX, then go ahead and enter that. If it’s not a PX/VX absence, then direct the advisee accordingly (i.e. – tell the advisee to go talk to their teacher about an accidental entry).
  • For the 3 Day UN sheets, send the advisee to see the appropriate Adviser Chair to work through resolving the absence.

Eligibility

Every Thursday, you will need to enter information to help our coaches, sponsors and directors know if students are academically eligible to participate. Not only is this check a state requirement, it is an important way in which we help our students. None of this is possible, however, if they are unaware that a student is struggling. That is why entering this information is so important!

You should never enter a failing notice in eligibility without having also spoken with the student and completed a low scholarship notice.

Below are instructions explaining how to complete the eligibility check in PowerSchool. Here are two additional notes. First, even if no one is in jeopardy or failing in your class, it is important to click save at the bottom of the form so that we know that you have reviewed that class. Second, you will notice that the list of students is arranged by student ID number. We have requested a reconfiguration from PowerSchool that will change the list to be alphabetical and should have that change implemented soon.
