About Us

Mrs. Dolby

I am excited to be teaching second grade! This is my twenty sixth year in the district and I still love teaching as much as when I began. I have taught six years of fourth grade, fifteen years of fifth grade and three years of second grade. I earned my bachelor's in human development and family studies at Colorado State University and my master's in education from National Louis University.

My husband and I have two children, my son is a freshman in college and a my daughter is a sophomore in college. I enjoy reading, yoga, and spending time with my family and friends. I am looking forward to working with you and helping the children build their strengths and grow this year.

I am thrilled to be joining the Second Grade team this year! I have been teaching Kindergarten at IT for the past seven years and am so excited to be "moving up". I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University and have my Masters in Reading from Olivet Nazerene University.

I am from Buffalo Grove and and currently live in Chicago. In my free time I enjoy working out, walking and exploring my neighborhood, watching a good TV show, and spending time with my friends and family. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of fun and learning in Second Grade!

I'm glad to be back for my sixth year teaching second grade at Indian Trail. Prior to being here, I taught fifth grade at Sherwood and spent many years teaching middle school ELA. I earned my bachelor's in media communications from North Park University and my master's in education from DePaul University.

I live in Grayslake with my partner and our many plant babies. We do not have children of our own, so I appreciate you sharing yours with me! Outside of school, I enjoy yoga, hiking, reading, puzzles, coffee dates with friends, and a good Netflix binge. I am passionate about building relationships and fostering a love of learning. I'm excited to partner with you to help your children grow!

I am so excited to be back at Indian Trail for my second year in second grade. Prior to teaching in Highland Park, I taught first grade in Chicago. I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Michigan and received my master's degree in elementary education from National Louis University.

I live in Chicago, and I love being outdoors, exploring Chicago's food scene, exercising, cooking, and spending time with my family and friends. I am looking forward to partnering with your family this year and helping your child grow and learn in second grade.
