This wonderful, often undiscovered gem of the Norfolk countryside is an excellent place to explore on a spare day in the holidays.
Marilyn Brocklehurst who runs the centre is possibly the most well-informed person we've met when it comes to children's books. Her shop is crammed full of a wide variety of children's fiction and non-fiction and she often stocks unique hard-to-find texts too.
Marilyn and her team read all the books stocked and therefore are brilliant at talking to children in order to help them discover something new attuned to their interests and hobbies. This makes it a particularly useful place to visit if you find your child is a bit reluctant to read- often they just haven't found the right book... yet!
