Each text (one fiction and one non-fiction) issues a warning to all of us who live in a democracy that the freedoms we enjoy are vulnerable to attack from both external and internal forces.  

In your opinion,

a) Which text is more effective in conveying this warning? Discuss at least two reasons for your choice;

b) What are some of the practical strategies that each text offers to us that may enable us to protect our freedoms?
