With this being the 25th annual year of the Keith Wesley Fengler Scholarship I really took a second to analyze how much it has impacted the community of Cicero-North Syracuse and people that I know personally. Below are direct words from friends of mine who have won the scholarship in previous years and have benefited greatly from the advanced technology of the MacBook in their time at college. Their advice put my mindset into a greater perspective of how much our world is shifting to more modern technology in our educational systems and how impactful it is to have these tools right at your fingertips. Technology is an amazing thing that can bring people together and is going to be a crucial tool in years to come not just in schools but in the workforce and everyday life, so it's important to know how to use it to it's fullest potential.
"The Keith Fengler Scholarship is an incredible opportunity that has absolutely transformed my college experience thus far. As a junior, I have submitted every assignment, paper, and taken countless notes using the MacBook awarded to me by the scholarship. This scholarship is a testament to the adage "hard work pays off" and I am beyond grateful for being an award recipient. I urge every student who is able to apply for the Keith Fengler Scholarship for it has served as a fundamental resource as a college student". -Samantha Klein (Junior at LaSalle University) CNS Grad
"Thanks to the Keith Fengler Scholarship I have been able to excel in college on many levels. The addition of a MacBook Pro has given me the ability to get all of my classwork done, and is so reliable when it comes to downloading materials, and getting in contact with my university and professors. This scholarship was so important to me, as I knew it was supporting a good cause for a great person, Keith Fengler. If someone ever asks how I attained my laptop I get to give them a nice story, and it makes me feel so good knowing my laptop came from a scholarship like the Keith Fengler one. I highly recommend applying for this scholarship as it taught me how to create a website when I applied, which is something I have actually had to apply in college too; again while using my MacBook". -Kate Putman (Sophmore at NC State University) CNS Grad
"The MacBook has been super useful as I use it everyday for schoolwork. I didn't have another computer that I could use and I'm very grateful I was awarded this scholarship so I didn't have to worry about purchasing one". -Nicole Mirra (Sophomore at Southern New Hampshire University) CNS Grad
